The Mars Planet Foundation is excited to kick off the new school year and are profoundly grateful that our children have the ability to learn in such a vibrant environment at the Mars Area School District. With the start of the new year, the Mars Planet Foundation (MPF) is also kicking off with our first Annual Appeal, called GIVE 180.
The Mars Planet Foundation, a non-profit, tax-exempt charitable organization that serves to develop, promote and finance educational programs, activities, and projects within the Mars Area School District, provides scholarships to graduating students, as well as grants that underwrite teacher-led innovation both inside and outside of the current curriculum parameters. Our teachers are the ones who have the creative power in our school systems, and we encourage them to come up with new ideas that will best help children learn. Over the years, our teachers have created new initiatives that have exponentially helped learning in our schools.
Donations of all levels are appreciated and tax deductible. We encourage parents of students to donate $180 per child, which is only $18.00 per month, or $1 for each school day. Your contribution will enhance student learning throughout the district and support the very backbone of our community. A tax-deductible donation to the Mars Planet Foundation truly is a gift that keeps on giving, and your gift provides a tremendous impact over a long period of time. We believe that a community engaged in making educational excellence a priority benefits us all. Please join us in contributing to GIVE 180 so that we can continue to build stronger schools together.

Our Board Members are mainly Volunteers from the Community as well as a few from the school board. We have a number of Ambassadors who provide additional support for us at events and provide feedback and ideas to help progress the Foundation.
Founded in 2009, as a 501 (c) (3) tax exempt charitable organization. The Foundation serves the Mars Area School District by providing opportunities to enhance and enrich the learning endeavors of each and every student.
We focus on awarding Teacher Grants throughout the year, to inspire Teachers to bring innovative new ideas and programs to their students which ultimately enhance their learning capabilities. Scholarships help to enrich our graduating Seniors as there are a growing number of them that we steward and award at the annual Academic Banquet.
